We first started talking when we were 17 years old, as students in Seremban. We’re here today in KLCC Park just to go on a casual date!
He first approached me on Instagram, where he shared some study tips or a course that assisted with SPM preparation. From there, we continued talking more and more until after our SPM ended, then we decided to start dating.

“He scored 2As for his trials but when it came to SPM, he managed to get 6As!”
[The boyfriend talking] She actually helped me with tutoring during our SPM. It’s funny because I was the one sending her tips on Instagram, but she ended up helping me more.
We’ve been officially together for 5 years now! She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in information technology, whereas I completed a diploma in civil engineering.
Every Relationship Had Its Ups & Downs
I love him because he has always shown how caring he can be. He is thoughtful of me, and sometimes he just randomly buys me flowers. I also appreciate how he is able to talk me through any disagreements we have. He keeps calm despite how confrontational I can be.

The breakup happened because I found myself overwhelmed by work and other personal problems at home. But she wanted me to give her more attention, and there were also a few times where there were just misunderstandings.
But I was working in the first place to save up money so I could marry her.
I was doing a part-time job at a snooker place, and I was earning around RM1.5 to RM1.6K per month (not including overtime salary).
But the fights started to get so bad that I felt like it wasn’t worth it anymore, and I wanted to stop working already.

She adds, “During this fight, I said things I shouldn’t have… In the heat of the moment, I told him he was the worst human being I’ve ever met.
That’s when we broke up, but after two months, she ended up seeking me out again. We didn’t date immediately because I was still feeling sour about it. Still, we talked every day, and at some point, she asked me, “How much longer are we going to go on like this?”
Ultimately, I decided to give it another go.

The Sweetest Gesture
He likes to surprise me!
But the one surprise that really stuck with me was when we were going on a normal date to celebrate my birthday, which was supposed to just be a casual date, and he bought me a whole cake from a secret recipe!
You know how big those cakes are!

“I asked him, siapa nak habiskan semua ni!! (laughs)”
We ended up only eating one piece, and then I basically just cut it and shared the rest with family members and even neighbours.
Currently, we’re waiting to finish our studies, and then we’re planning to get married. We hope that we both get to achieve our dreams and live happily together!
