There is a saying, “People don’t quit a job, they quit a boss.” That saying is true. I am one of the “lucky” ones (sarcasm) to have worked under bosses that gave me the best experience in the corporate world.
We love proactive, helpful managers. Those willing to guide us and make sure we become good at what we do. These are who we call leaders. But then, there are those who have no idea what they’re doing, and neither help nor guide those under them.
When you’re a leader, you’re responsible for guiding, providing direction, and fostering teamwork among your team. Bossing around doesn’t accomplish that.
